If you are looking for a wonderful time for the holidays then make sure to check out the Winter Wonderland. They will have a tree lighting, Santa, Horse-drawn Carriage and Phair Market

South Street Headhouse District (SSHD) presents their annual extravaganza Winter Wonderland on Sunday, December 7, 2014, from 3:00pm to 7:00pm, at the Historic Headhouse Square Shambles on 200 Pine Street, Philadelphia, PA 19147.  Free family fun will include the annual holiday tree lighting, Santa Claus arriving on a firetruck, free horse-drawn carriage rides, performances by Philadelphia Dance Academy and Society Hill Dance Academy, and the Headhouse Holiday Market in conjunction with PHAIR. Brauhaus Schmitz will serve mulled wine and other treats. Before or after the festivities, stroll the district and check out holiday displays at 30+ businesses competing in the Window Wonderland Storefront Challenge. Winter Wonderland is a celebration of SSHD’s finest holiday traditions, with free fun for all ages. Free horse-drawn carriage rides will be available from Philadelphia Trolley Works.  The highly popular “Nutcracker Mash-Up” dance performance by the Philadelphia Dance Academy is back.   The award-winning Society Hill Dance Academy will perform holiday ballroom dances for the crowds as well.  South Street Headhouse District businesses will join vendors from PHAIR under the Shambles for the Headhouse Holiday Market with gifts for everyone on your list. Brauhaus Schmitz will serve German sausage sandwiches, goulash, beer and gluhwein (mulled wine)

Before or after Winter Wonderland, visitors are encouraged to stroll the District and enjoy holiday window displays at 30+ boutiques and restaurants. (Visit www.southstreet.com for a map.) Celebrity judges will select the winners who will be announced during the evening’s ceremonies.
